Our Mission Statement Explained

This mission statement starts off by acknowledging our total
dependence upon THE GRACE OF GOD.  We are
fully aware that “without Him, we can do nothing”; that any success we have
will not be because of our will or might, but only by His Spirit.

It makes it clear that our top priority and purpose is to HONOR
CHRIST.  Jesus Christ is our raison d’etre; we exist because of, for,
and through HIM.

It shows that we realize that we will only honor Christ as we -
individually and collectively - are ALIGNED TO THE BIBLE: its purposes,
doctrines, philosophies, principles, character traits, standards, and methods.

It further states clearly that we will only honor Christ through
SUBMISSION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.  In other
words, founded upon “every word of God”, we also recognize the imperative of
following the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the danger of becoming locked
into any man-made paradigm of tradition, program, or ritual.  Nor will we fall into the trap of following
any one person or group of people, but will stay sensitive to the still, small
voice of the Spirit of God.

The statement makes it clear that EDUCATION is our product.

It states that the education we offer will be HIGH-QUALITY.  We intend to hold high academic standards, to
hire the most highly qualified staff we can find and afford, to use the best
curriculum available, to transmit the material to the students in the best way
we can manage, and to do all this in the best environment (tangible and
intangible) we are capable of providing.

We state that the education we offer will be CHRISTIAN.  It will hold to a biblical, rather than a
secular, worldview.

We state that the education we offer will be AUTHENTIC.  It will promote authentic Christianity, not
conventional ‘churchianity’, denominationalism, or any kind of typical,
worldly, so-called ‘christianity’.

Recognizing the impossibility of ensuring that every student who
attends will take proper advantage of our efforts, this statement of purpose
says that it is our aim to OFFER, or make available, a high-quality, Christian
education.   We will make the offer; we
do not, and cannot, ensure the outcome.

This statement makes it clear that our offer is made only to
COOPERATIVE CHILDREN.  We will enroll
only those students who show by their attitude and actions that they are
cooperating with our staff, our policies, and our purposes.

This statement makes it clear that our offer is being made only
to SUPPORTIVE PARENTS.  They need not
necessarily be Christians, but their children will only be enrolled if, and as
long as, they show by their attitudes and actions that they are in support of
our program.
